Values

In Religious Education we have been learning about values.  Values are all the things that are key in our decision making. They help us to make good choices and live a happy life.  Some values are:

Creativity: Is when you create something that isn’t like anything else.
Thankfulness: Is when you thank somebody for their actions.
Joy: Is when you are very happy.
Bravery: When you step up to do something out of your comfort zone.
Respect: Is when you are nice and thoughtful.
Love: When you care about another.
Teamwork:Is when you work together as a team
Sharing:Is when you give a piece of your share to somebody else.
Confidence:Is when you have the courage to do something.
Spirit:when you look at the world different from everybody else
Care:pay close attention to something
Grace:Is when you are careful with what you are doing.
Maturity:Is when you act your age.
Understanding: Is when you know what is going on.
Honesty: When you tell the truth
Achieve:Is when you successfully  complete your goal
Peace:Is when no conflicts are being made.
Leadership:When you take the role of being the leader of your group.

This wordle shows the top 3 values of everyone in our class.

  1. A great post Georgia, Michael V and Ashleigh. You have done an excellent job with defining different values. One of my favourite values (besides respect) is compassion. I think it is important that we have empathy for other people and try to do our bit to help other people out.

  2. Hi there Year 5. My name is Mrs Stelmach and I teach Year 6 at St Mary's in Georges Hall. We really enjoyed reading your post on values. We are learning about the importance of having an inclusive school and community, where everybody feels valued and accepted. We think your top three values of love, respect and truth are awesome. We will be popping in from time to time to see what you're learning and read your posts.

    1. Peace is a great value Dylan. When we are in a peaceful environment in makes us feel calm. A peaceful environment is much more pleasant than one filled with conflict and arguments.

  4. respect:Why i think that respect is good is because you could say sorry because maybe you done something wrong to them or if they new at the school you can also show them around and if they alone you could say do you want to play with us.

My favourite value is trust because if we did not tell the truth we would have no friends and nobody will believe in us.
