Van Gogh's Sunflowers


Van Gogh's Sunflowers

For art we have been  learning about Van Gogh. We have been painting sunflowers like ones Van Gogh painted. We made 2 artworks, one with just 2 pencils, 1 HB and the other 2B. The other we used a pencil, oil pastels and some paint.


We had to draw a vase, the flowers and the line of the table and on the other painting we had to draw the vase and the flowers again, paint the background and we had to smudge and colour the flowers in oil pastels.

Year 5 did great at it and the results were very good. We hope we can paint another of Van Gogh’s masterpieces, since it was fun.

    I really enjoyed doing this art using oil pastels and 1HB and 2B pencils and hope we can do art like this again because it was a lot of fun.

    I liked the painting the yr 5's done. But to bad I wasn't there to do it. Next time, I'm not missing out of the Van Gogh's paintings, AGAIN!

    All of these paintings are wonderful,Vincent Van Gogh is a very unique painter. Great job to everyone who did these paintings.
